Matho Models 35046 Set of plants and weeds 1/35
How to use and paint
Leave the plants agitated as you paint and age.
First airbrush a few layers of primer (acrylic). Allow to dry for at least 24 hours between one hand and the other. After that you can continue with your normal colors (acrylic or enamelled) and products for aging. Seal with a few coats of paint. Let the paint dry for at least 24 hours so that it is hard enough to protect your paint during the next steps.
Always be very kind in the steps below when handling plants to prevent the paint from scratching.
Place the key on a hard surface (such as wood or glass) and cut out the plants from the button with a new knife.
Use a micro file to clean up any remnants of the key. If cut well, however, you will not need to use a file on the straight edges.
Now use 2 tweezers to turn the leaves and branches into a natural position. Use 1 tweezers to hold the plants, the other to shape the leaves and branches. Do not forget to bend even the leaves themselves for a more realistic look.
Use tweezers (be very kind to avoid scratches on the paint!) to glue and place them.
Some parts now need extra painting to restore damage caused during key cutting or subsequent handling. Use a round brush with a very fine tip with your main color to retouch the parts where you can still see the PE brass color shine through.
