Rabbit Glue 100 grams – Natural binder for pigments and powder colors.
Rabbit glue is a glue of animal origin derived from suitably treated waste.
Also called glue lapin, it comes in the form of grains. It is used in the creation of numerous products for gilding and for restoration in general. (In recent years it has also taken hold in cribs and Dioramas to paint with powder pigments / colors)
We put 100 gr. of rabbit glue in the bain-marie pot adding 1 liter of water (even more than 1.5 liters for those who have to paint and not use it in a classic way). and let it rest for about 12 hours, so that the glue absorbs the water.
At this point you go to the cooking or heating phase by placing the bain-marie pot on an electric stove. The water should be kept warm, but not boiled. The ideal temperature is usually around 50-60 ° C.
a tip is to do it at 10 grams at a time
every 10 grams use 10/13 parts of water
